On Travel.

Can we agree that the greatest satisfactions in life are derivative of the connections we make, particularly connections with people and places?  For those of us fortunate enough to be mobile, travel extends opportunity for connection and with it the opportunity to grow and learn.  Thus, travel broadens us, making us better.

In an important sense, travel represents a pretext, an opportunity, a construct of time and place for connecting with people in new ways.  These people include our travel companions, people we meet while travelling, and those people already in our orbit with whom we exchange shared experiences through stories and pictures from the road.

This blog has as its purpose the central reason we travel:  making new connections and strengthening existing ties by sharing travel experiences with you, people both interesting and interested, whose lives are interwoven with my own.
